AVA is bringing aspiring beach volleyball players in Seattle a rare opportunity to learn from one of the best beach volleyball athletes of all time.

The AVA will host an exclusive beach clinic with Olympian and former AVP Pro Stein Metzger, here on Alki Beach (August 3rd through 5th). Stein’s volleyball credentials precede him as one of the great athletes of the sport excelling at indoor, as well as the beach.

Accompanying Stein will be some of our regions finest beach volleyball coaches and players.  Accompanying Stein we’ve got Steve Whitaker and Joe Baleto.  Steve coaches for the Idaho Vandals and use to coach with Jim McLauglin at the UW, and Joe coaches at SU and both have years and a wealth of indoor and beach experience.

The camp is open to all skill levels and will cover everything from the fundamentals of ball control through to more advanced techniques. The camps will also discuss the differences in techniques between indoor and outdoor beach volleyball, to help indoor players transition to the beach.  You will be interacting directly with Stein on the court and running through drills and techniques first hand. Beach volleyball is also one of the best ways to get in shape for the indoor season and elevate your game.
